Quest for Curves

In Spring 2007 I took a course on Contemporary Issues in Design at Emily Carr Institute for Art and Design, taught by Ramon Kubicek. This resulted in the presentation posted here.

It's

  • about my search for curves in the vast set of rectangles the modern city has become
  • a spontaneous reaction to forms that I find in one Vancouver neighborhood
  • in the form of photos, diagrams and paragraphs; a pastiche rather than an essay

If you'd like to react to these images and ideas, please email.

The following three images will open in your browser. They are web design proofs seen through post-modern glasses. They are all about finding a place for curves in a web design culture that is obsessively rectilinear.
